## Description

Wood Juice is a specially formulated product for treating dry or semi-dry wood to prevent future checking, cracking and warping. This product will provide more stability to the wood. It was developed to compensate for the difference in lower moisture content of the drier wood. Whereas, Pentacryl is formulated to stabilize green or fresh cut wood with a higher moisture content.

**Q: How come the wood juice is $15 to ship a gallon and the wood juice is only $8 a gallon?And also more expensive as well?**
A: Hello, the price for 1 gallon of Wood Juice is $58.95 and because of it's size, it ships via UPS Ground. The price for USP Ground shipping averages $15.99, but in most cases, is higher than that (to the east coast for example, is $18.50).

**Q: Do you dilute it?**
A: No... I had problems with my wood molding with this product. I stand behind this company though I told them what happened while using this product and they fully reimbursed me

**Q: Hello, can this be used in garden boxes (for vegetable growing)?**
A: No, we do not recommend using Wood Juice (or Pentacryl) on wood for garden use. 
- Both products are meant to treat green or semi-green wood to prevent it from cracking as it dries.  Generally, this is used on wood for indoor use, like crafts (wood cookies), furniture (slabs), turned bowls, carvings, etc.   
- When used on wood for exterior use, it will eventually leach out from the weather (rain and snow).

**Q: I have a soft maple log 36" diameter I am having it cut into slabs for outside tables and benches. What products should I use?**
A: Since the log is large, 36" diameter, it will most likely have a high moisture content when it is cut, so we recommend using Pentacryl.  This is a wood stabilizer formulated to treat fresh cut green wood.   If the wood is being cut into rounds, or "wood cookies" off the end of the log, be sure to treat them right away, get enough Pentacryl on to saturate all the way through and then dry them slowly.  We have a step by step video on our website to walk you through the treatment process.

Since the wood will be used outdoors, a sealer will need to be applied to prevent Pentacryl from leaching out in the rain/snow.  We recommend a heavy duty one like a marine spar varnish. However, be sure the wood is completely dry (all the water has dried out), before applying the sealer, as you don't want to trap moisture in the wood - it could start rotting from the inside.

I recently got a 32" x 3" ambrosia maple slab that was mostly dry but started lightly checking when I brought it inside for the winter. I was reading about different treatments to keep it from checking and decided to go with Wood Juice which is not supposed to change the color of the wood. It made a big mess and now I am stuck with orange wood. I tried painting plain mineral spirits on and scrubbing the wood but it's still orange. This product penetrates so deep you can't just sand the orange away this is the color I am stuck with apparently since there seems to be no way to remove it. Next time I will probably use AnchorSeal instead which can be removed by sanding.
