Felt great, helped a ton, and it's nice that they fit both hands. Cut to present day and I'm looking at the one my dog was chewing on that still works great, thinking about how they've held up for a decade and a half and realizing I should probably leave a review. Extremely well constructed and affordable. These things will last forever. Review: For both wrists, washable, works! - I ordered this one rather than any of the other options because the color more closely matched my skin tone, and because this could be used on both right or left wrists. Why I like this even more now that I have it is that the plastic and metal pieces that keep it rigid can be easily removed so that you can wash this. They have little slits for the plastic parts on the sides and there is an opening for the big metal piece that runs down the entire length of this that sits at the palm. It is very easy to get on and off by myself. It's comfortable (reasonably), and it keeps my wrist stabilized but allows me to use my hand. Typing and using a mouse is possible, it's not as quick as with it off- but you CAN do it. Or does it only have the metal "spoon" part on the bottom for rigid support?** A: The wrist brace does have 2 semi-rigid plastic stays that when relaxed, are on the sides. My wrist is small so when I secure the brace, the stays are somewhat closer to the top than the sides. This is my 2nd Mueller brace and has been one of the best ones I have found and used.
