I plan to do bead embroidery on them.** A: Snakeskin would be soft enough but the pieces I got were so small they were worthless. I wouldn't recommend buying these scraps. If you want a good product buy just what you know you want and in the amount you will need. I was disappointed with my purchase and it was a waste of money. I hope this helps. If there is a leather shop anywhere near you I would go there in person and see what they have to offer and how much it would cost. **Q: What is the weight or how many mm thick are the pieces? Can you use for making wallets and purses?** A: It was completely random in weight and sizes. A couple of the scraps were big enough to make a wallet but not a purse. As indicated, they were all irregularly shaped, but you could do some good projects with them as they were typically six to seven inches wide at their narrowest.The snake skin came in an envelope and the pieces were small.
