The XSS023Z is a newer version and is equipped with Star Protection Computer Controls to protect against overloading, over-discharging and over-heating and the BSSA610Z isn't, the XSS02Z is also a little lighter. **Q: Is there a dado blade for this saw?** A: Ummmmm, no. I wouldn't put a dado blade on this saw. And it wouldn't be good for the motor either. **Q: Is the saw left blade?** A: Yes.
