I even use them for symphonic band sometimes just because the weight is easier to control, but I still want a little bit of volume. What is the effect it gives? Thanks!** A: It depends on the time of drum heads. I have Removed Clear Pinstripes and the sticks give a very articulate sound. It gives a lot of attack yet somehow decreases the sustain of each note. In summary: you get the same tone and louder attack but less sustain. **Q: Are these sticks the best sticks are these better than dc-50** A: There's no such thing as a better stick. It's all preference. In this case, the DC-50's are a little shorter than these, but also a little bit larger in diameter.
