Review: Perfect Spool Gun - Needed a spool gun for my for my Miller 211 to do a quick aluminum repair. I had borrowed a friend's Miller 150 spool in the past but I needed one quicker than I could get it from him. I took the chance getting this rather than paying the outrageous price for the Miller. I am so happy I did!! I actually like it better than the Miller. Hooking it up to my 211 was so simple and loading wire in it was way easier than other spool guns I have tried. Worked like a charm and the repairs I needed to make were done in time. Over all, I highly recommend this and couldn't be happier!
Review: Works with my Multimatic 220 AC/DC - Early days, and I've never used a spoolgun before, but connecting this was dead simple and in "auto" mode the Miller recognized it as a Spoolmate 150 and adjusted accordingly. I did not have any issue with the feed running backward. Just messing around, thinking I knew better, I fiddled with the voltage and speed settings, then found that the 220's automatic settings for my material were just about right to begin with at 35 CFH 100% argon. In that phase I managed to burn the wire back to the tip and solidly block it (never used a spoolgun...). Well... ground off the Al slag, chucked the tip in the lathe, and drilled out the passage; worked fine afterward. I do wish Yeswelder had included more than one .35 tip, but my hubris isn't their fault!

Needed a spool gun for my for my Miller 211 to do a quick aluminum repair. I had borrowed a friend's Miller 150 spool in the past but I needed one quicker than I could get it from him. I took the chance getting this rather than paying the outrageous price for the Miller. I am so happy I did!! I actually like it better than the Miller. I gave three stars since this unit comes with no information. No manual, no parts list. Support is slow and not very helpful. Had to find a manual through one of their competitors .
