On the stove or in the oven?** A: The fondue pot is enameled cast iron. You begin the fondue by melting the cheese and seasoning it in this pot on the stove top. Then when it is melted, and seasoned, you move it to the table top burner. It was wonderful. Make sure to get the fuel that heats the fondue because it’s not part of the set. You can heat the pot directly on the stove which is also a plus. Cleaning was easy and it easily feeds 6-8 people.
