The lights, sounds, and smoke are really great and making running the train a lot of fun. I tried the Bluetooth app on my phone and it works well, but the remote works the same so you don’t need the Bluetooth if you don’t want to use it. The only downside is if you have the remote off but the track plugged in it makes a beeping noise to indicate it is trying to connect the Bluetooth. I haven’t checked the instructions to see if this can be turned off as it is a bit of annoying sound. I ran my right out of the box and it derailed. Any Advice?** A: On tube track (traditional or o27) you can not use the 027 curves has to be 031 and up if you use it on the 027 curve it has to have the front wheels removed **Q: Will this run with a standard track?** A: By "standard track" I assume you mean O-27. This is O-36 so the wheel flange is a bit taller. The old track's cross ties will get in the way. A few quick things of note that people should be aware of. 1) The smoker is turned on by default, on the train section you'll want to turn it off first before use if you are not loading it with smoke fluid before it's first use. This will keep the smoker from getting damaged. The switch is hidden where the conductor would be if it was a real train... It is a little hard to see at first. 2) Some of the car connector sections can be a bit sticky, so it might be difficult to hook your train together... don't worry, it is just stubborn. Good news is it holds them together well, you just need to get them together in the first place. 3) If you do not unplug the tracks, and turn the remote off, it'll make a beeping noise. Don't forget to unplug the track before turning it off.
