It depends on the particular nuts & seeds etc that you are using. We did soak both the Soya and the Yellow Beans that we used to make milk and a thicker ‘porridge’ (respectively) but put the Almonds straight in (I.e. unsoaked). Having said all of that though, we only used it 6 times when it developed an electrical fault so severe it tripped the house electrical supply ring-main - so it then was sent straight back for a refund!
