I like to set my traps so sensitive that they will occasionally trip even when just setting the trap in place. I find that sanding or using a very fine file around the round edge on the very end of the trip bar gets rid of any invisible burrs that may catch that otherwise could prevent the trap from springing. Be careful your fingers are never in the way of the kill bar when setting the trap.
