Most people loved this skin, but a few were unimpressed. I’m glad I ordered it!Listen, you’re not going to get this skin and start playing football with the damn thing, but it adds a good amount of extra protection to the speaker, so should it slip from your hand, there will be less of a chance of damage. For me, bulk is a big concern. I find this skin to be the perfect amount of protection vs bulk. As you can see in my pictures, it does an excellent job of fully encompassing the speaker, especially at the edges, but at the same time it isn’t so bulky that the speaker no longer fits in a slim hard shell case.In my last photo you can see a hard case I bought for when I put the Roam in my backpack. I wanted something not bulky, and I liked the top opening because there was less chance of the speaker “making a break for it” and accidentally falling out of the case as I try to open it to use the speaker. I was worried that this skin would add too much bulk for me to be able to slide it into this case, but it actually makes the speaker fit better!!!! This case has some extra wiggle room inside it, and with this skin my Roam doesn’t bounce around inside. It’s still super easy to pop my Roam in and out of the case too.I did also want to mention I love the clip. There are a lot of products that come with a “convenient carry” clip, but I’ve frequently found that the base loop the clip attaches to on the product is flimsy, structurally speaking an afterthought, and therefore untrustworthy. That is not so with this one! You can see in the images how well supported that clip loop is. It’s even a main feature of the design! I work in an office, and while I’m mostly at my desk I do have to ship equipment a few times a week. This used to mean me having to spend that time in the shipping room packing everything, labeling it, etc, alone with my own thoughts. But now even if my hands are full I can clip it to my belt loop and take it with me to whatever room I go! Never again do I have to suffer the full weight of my 9-5 reality!!!!Listen, my TLDR is this: I am picky about many things. I am often disappointed with what’s offered on Amazon because none of it exactly matches what I had in my head design and function wise, but this product checked all the boxes in terms of functionality and design.
