Review: Cheaper than at the doctors - I fractured my toe and was told to get a "plate" for my shoe. I went to the doctor and they were going to fit me for one of these at a cost of $75. Since my insurance didn't cover it, the assistant told me that I could get one on desertcart for cheaper. He helped me pick this one out and it has worked very well for me. I have to wear it for another 4 weeks and it is really helping my foot, and getting it for less than half of what I would have paid at the doctors office helped too.

The product was purchased to assist in addressing a condition with my big toe, which restricts upward bending while walking. The rigid insert assists in limiting toe movement, thus reducing inflammation. The product was recommended by my podiatrist. The only negative is depending upon the sock and/or shoe combination, walking can make a squeaking sound.
