In recent years, these carbon fiber bows have gotten really nice. While my daughter plays a much more expensive wooden bow (She is in Suzuki Book 5 and plays with a youth orchestra), this bow is a very good back up bow. This bow is more than adequate for any beginner and even intermediate player. My daughter's violin teacher was very impressed and said this was a great price for a bow of this quality. I've had a carbon fiber bow that I bought used about 15 years ago that cost more than this bow but I like this bow as much or more than the bow I've been playing for the last 15 years. It handles nicely and sounds good on my instrument. The fittings look great with the silver wire winding and mother of pearl accents on the frog. The tip is nothing special. Looks like white plastic. However, this bow costs less than re-hairing a bow and the quality and performance is not disappointing. ### ⭐⭐ Good bow, Terrible service. *by A***R on August 26, 2024* I liked this bow so much I wanted to get a second one, but they sent me a brazilwood bow by mistake. OK, I understand that can happen, so I returned it and asked for a replacement with the correct carbon fiber bow. And the replacement was the wrong brazilwood bow again. And now they don't offer the replacement option; only refund. It's as if they don't really want to sell their product! And yes, I had someone else check my work to make sure it wasn't my mistake.
