Review: Excellent for kid beginners. - These are exactly what I was looking for. These are the same size and weight of a baseball, but made of a soft material. It’s perfect for practicing throwing and catching so kids can get used to handling a baseball and work on coordination without getting hurt when they misjudge a catch and the ball hits them. I like the bright colors as well. They seem pretty sturdy overall too. Enough heft to imitate a real ball. I was worried they’d be too light and would make catching or the feel of it hitting a glove pocket way off. I don’t know if they could be used for batting. Again, maybe for a little kid 5-7 in order to get used to the timing of swinging at a ball, but not any kid with real power. I’ll probably try it. If you have a young kid looking to get into baseball, these are a perfect starting place to get used to handling, throwing, and catching.

**Q: Are they hard enough to catch with a glove? The one that came with his glove is so soft it bounces out of the glove.**
A: Sometimes my 6 my year old grandson bats these balls right back up the middle. I have no problem catching them with a glove in this situation as well as when he throws them to me from the outfield. Be aware that they are very bouncy, and you can't count on them moving like a regular baseball or softball. if you don't catch the ball on the fly, better anticipate a high bounce that will even change direction if no on a smooth, flat surface. Because they are not as hard as a baseball, my grandson isn't afraid of them, even though he has been hit on occasion.

**Q: What kind of bat should be used to hit these balls? I'm afraid a plastic wiffle ball bat would not hold up.**
A: Bought these to teach my kids to throw and catch mostly. For hitting, it would be too heavy for a wiffle ball bat. You'd need at least a foam bat, or a t-ball bat would be better.

**Q: Do these balls have a cover on them ? Other balls I've bought have a cover and it comes off or peels during wall ball.**
A: They do have a cover and yes they do start to peel off after some time.

**Q: Are these strong enough to break a window? Wonder if they would be good for backyard play.**
A: Yes, if hit hard enough.
