Review: Almost Everything You Need - Although replacing the timing chain on a BMW N20 engine is not for the faint of heart, especially when it is in an X3, this set of timing tools made the job much easier. All the shafts locked in place perfectly and setting time on the engine was so easy and effortless. I really like the fact that the oil pump sprocket lock and balance shaft lock pin are included with this kit. With many other kits, these items must be purchased separately. The only drawback is that the oil pump chain tensioner lock pin does not fit in the hole. No problem however, that is a common issue with most of the kits. Just use a small allen wrench to lock the tensioner in place. Overall, this is a great kit and I would recommend it to anyone replacing the timing chain on a BMW N20 engine.

Although replacing the timing chain on a BMW N20 engine is not for the faint of heart, especially when it is in an X3, this set of timing tools made the job much easier. All the shafts locked in place perfectly and setting time on the engine was so easy and effortless. I really like the fact that the oil pump sprocket lock and balance shaft lock pin are included with this kit. With many other kits, these items must be purchased separately.
