## Description

Otters in Snow, a booklet of 20 stamps,features four different scenes of the alert and playful North American river otter reveling in winter's white landscape. With original illustrations rendered in pen and ink with watercolor, the stamps are arranged in blocks of four. From upper left and moving clockwise, they depict an otter poking its head -seen in three-quarters profile -from the surface of an icy body of water; an otter sliding on its back, tail first, down a snowbank; an otter chest-deep in a snow drift, facing the viewer; and another otter sliding down a snowbank. In the stationary poses, snow clings to the otters' fur. In the views showing motion, small snowballs race the otters downhill.

**Q: Why are these twice the price of a book or sheet of 20 stamps? Is that even legal?**
A: Thanks for asking.  Yes the government does not subsidize our business.
We have to pay Amazon to sell item on their marketplace. (20% or more)
We have to pay the Post office to Deliver the mail to you. ($3.79 to $8.20)
We have to pay the Government the tax they want. (Sales Tax percent in your state)
We have to pay the Post office to buy the stamps. (Current retail postage rate)
We have to pay our elves to pack the orders of Christmas stamps. ($15 per hour)
And finally if there is some money left over we get paid for our fast and convenient service.
If the stamps are below the pricing I have described then they are illegal.

**Q: Can i use it to send letters to Europe**
A: Yes, as long as you include additional postage. These are valid USPS postage stamps that can be used any time.  These are Forever Stamps so they will always be equal to the value of a one ounce, first class letter in the U.S.  As of January, 2022 that value is 58 cents.  The current rate for a Global one-ounce letter is $1.30, so you would need more than 1 stamp and/or additional postage for international mail.
