In a car without air conditioning, they really help to keep you cooler. One big advantage, your back won't be wet with sweat when you arrive with one of these.I use this on the vinyl seat of my mobility scooter, it's a perfect fit and does it's job very well. I prefer fabric for comfort (if not for looks or fashion). I drive long distances for work and got "stuck" with leather seats in my company car. This product solved both problems amazingly well and for a bargain price. I find it very comfortable to sit on for long distances. I've had my first one for 9 months and 25,000 miles and the covering is now starting to come apart at the drivers-door edge. I cannot imagine buying a different technology of product when this has worked so well. No more swamp butt!One big flaw though is the material. I wear an equipment belt whenever I drive so the rubbing against the cushion rips up the material over time. Right now parts of the cushion is already worn down and you can see the coils showing through.
