Review: Great and worth the money. Size up though. - This is a really great set. The helmet is a little wonky for adjustments. There needs to be a longer Velcro strip or you have to crisscross them. Which is probably the case considering I didn’t read any instructions. It’s great quality and the players opted to use this over the league provided gear. My only suggestion would be to get the larger size as the chest protector is rather small even though the shin guards and helmet were perfectly sized. I grabbed the desertcart resale item to save a few bucks and bc this stuff is going to get messed up after the first use. It looked brand new when I received it. I’d recommend this set. Review: Great started gear - This is a great catchers set for youth players. It fit girls in 6U softball so well. It has been used for 5 seasons and still going strong. I didn’t wear replace the Velcro on one shin guard. ## Features - Wilson EZ Gear 2.0 Catcher's Gear Kit - Black, Small/Medium - Kit includes Catcher’s Helmet, Chest Protector and Leg Guards - S/M recommended for ages 5-7 L/XL recommended for ages 7-13 - Helmet: Premium grade ABS shell with glossy finish; Venting technology to maintain protection while keeping your head cool; Meets NOCSAE SEI protection standard; Sizes - S/M (6-7), L/XL (7-7 7/8) - Chest Protector: Adjustable QuickChange system - set it and forget it; Easy on/off hook and loop closure; Form-fitting design; Removable shoulder caps; Multi-point adjustment system; Sizes - S/M (11”), L/XL (13”).Leg Guards: Adjustable QuickChange system - set it and forget it; Easy on/off hook and loop closure; Form-fitting design; Sizes - S/M (10 1/2”), L/XL (12”) ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B09KTBYWCY | | Age Range Description | Recommended ages 5-7 | | Brand | Wilson | | Brand Name | Wilson | | Closure Type | Hook & Loop | | Color | Black | | Colour | Black | | Customer Reviews | 4.3 out of 5 stars 236 Reviews | | Included Components | Catcher's Helmet, Chest Protector and 2 Leg Guards | | Item Dimensions | 45.7 x 35.6 x 25.4 centimeters | | Item Type Name | Catcher's Set | | Item Weight | 4 Pounds | | Item dimensions L x W x H | 45.7 x 35.6 x 25.4 centimeters | | Item weight | 4 Pounds | | Manufacturer | Wilson | | Manufacturer Part Number | WB5720201SM | | Material | Premium grade ABS shell | | Material Type | Premium grade ABS shell | | Model Number | WB5720201SM | | Number of Items | 3 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Sport | Baseball | | Sport Type | Baseball | | Strap Type | Adjustable | | UPC | 097512614412 | | Unit Count | 3.0 Count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Wilson - **Colour:** Black - **Item weight:** 2.77 Kilograms - **Material:** Premium grade ABS shell - **Sport:** Baseball ## Images ![EvoShield Baseball-and-Softball-Catcher-Chest-Protectors EZ GEAR2 Catcher's Gear KIT - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71+NVqZPdaL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: How is the velcro? We have a set that the velcro isnt sticking and its been used for just a few games.** A: My son used them every game of the season and half the all stars so far. Played every inning and not the first issue. I highly recommend. Great investment towards in career as a catcher. **Q: What age group is this gear for?** A: Probably 7-9 years. Our 7yo loves it. He’s on the smaller side and has a little room still **Q: My son is 9 but on the smaller side, he is about 50in tall and around 60 lbs...will the l/xl fit? or should i go with s/m?** A: I bought the L/Xl for my son who was also 9 and rather small compared to the others his age.. I 100% know it will fit perfectly, and as a bonus it will (more likely then not) fit a second year, as well as give him an advantage towards all stars.. Great buy, definitely in my top 10 best online buys. **Q: I have a 7 year old that is 52 inches tall and 72 lbs would you go with a small or the large** A: My son is 9, he is 54" tall, and about the same weight. The helmet and chest protector fit fine, the leg protectors are huge on him. with the quad protector over the knee, they almost go up to the middle of his quad. Its funny to see, but he has room to grow into the set, and its a really nice set. I am very happy with my purchase and would say do it. If your son is going to catch for a few years, its a great set for the money and you'll get a number of years out of it. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great and worth the money.
