These hinges work best in flat applications rather than wrapped around a 90-degree corner, unless a hasp or lock is used. These clear acrylic / polycarbonate hinges have a slim, low-profile design and are extruded from high-impact acrylic and a urethane elastomer. A thin, flexible section allows the two rigid sections to open and close without a separate hinge pin. These non-tape versions require bonding adhesive for assembly. Adhesive is not provided. Acrylic and polycarbonate are similar thermoplastics often used interchangeably; acrylic gives good strength and UV resistance, while polycarbonate gives higher impact and heat resistance.. || ## Features - 5x Pack. Either nuts and bolts can be used or glue. I would recommend a 2 part epoxy for aluminium. At the minimum, if you do use gorilla glue or something similasr, scuff the aluminium surface, to obtain a better adhesion. Superglue doesn't allow flexibility, so not ideal. We are released a self adhesive version of the flex hinge, with specific VHB doubled side tape, these will be in stock soon. I hope this helps, CR **Q: Can the hinge bend around fully so that the two joined faces meet like a closed laptop? I would be joining two 2-mm plates of glass.** A: Yes it can but keep in mind that you are folding over a solid strip of rubber so it will bend all the way over but not totally flat. **Q: Are there 5 hinges for this price? I don’t see qty listed, but one pic shows 5.** A: Hi, thank you for your message. Yes, i can confirm that the quantity included is 5. In other words, 5 pieces will be sent, if you purchase the listing quantity of '1'. Warm wishes, CR **Q: Would these work on a Chainsaw Carrying Case?** A: It would work well but I would use screws to help keep it in place ## Frequently Bought Together - 5 x 50mm, 2", Low Profile Flex Hinges, Flexible Living Hinges, Transparent, Continuous Acrylic Piano Hinges, - Golf Cart Window Clips, Windshield Clips for Golf Cart Fits Club EZGO Yamaha Models Set Of 2 - dkplnt 20A 240W 12v Golf Cart 48V 36V to 12V Converter Voltage Regulator Reducer Transformer with Fuse --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.us/products/376054994-5x-clear-50-mm-acrylic-low-profile-flexible-living-hinges](https://www.desertcart.us/products/376054994-5x-clear-50-mm-acrylic-low-profile-flexible-living-hinges) --- *Product available on Desertcart United States of America* *Store origin: US* *Last updated: 2026-10-17*
