Each individual stand has a 3" diameter base, and the waist wire can go from 5 1/2" to 7 1/2" stand height (to doll's waist). While some 12" dolls will work on this stand, it's best for high-waisted 8" dolls up to standard-waisted 11" dolls. **Q: Would these hold walking dead action figure** A: These hold a 12" G.I. Joe Figure nicely. I am guessing if the Walking Dead figure is between 8-12", it should be fine. These are great. They are discreet and adjustable. I have been able to use them for vintage Gabriel Lone Ranger figures, six million dollar figures (including the bigfoot), Big Jim Wolf PACK figures, and 007 figures made in the 60's.
