It's like a solid tin or something. The part it hangs off is the same material and the two jostle and clang which can be pretty annoying. My mom thinks she'll be fine with it (bought this as a gift for her) but if not we'll get bolt cutters and hang a different charm on it. The second thing is the lining of the purse. It's a kind of nylon and while great for cleaning, it makes a rustling papery sound. Again, something my mom said she can live with, as this purse has all the features she wanted (hard to find!)

HUGE! I was looking for something to carry my artwork stuff around with me. Unfortunately, it doesn’t fit the pencil case I bought however, it is also huge! I have all my work stuff and most of my artwork supplies in there and I still have room if I wanted to tote a tablet or a couple more sketchbooks. The purse is sturdy, stylish and well made. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
