It is light weight, so it is not a professional insert. They were recommended by my chiropractor. **Q: Can these be worn for athletic activities such as running and playing tennis?** A: Absolutely, I wear them during trail runs up to 60km with no problems even when wet or muddy. For piece of mind you may want to apply double sided tape to stop them moving when put on or off. But they do not slip or move during heavy use. The insert doesn't reach anywhere near the toes. It's three inches short** A: Depending on the severity of your plantar fasciitis. It will cause your arch to be lifted into place. It can be tender until you get use to it. It will also help if you do a calf stretch for the plantar fascists.
