Review: So versatile that 4 is not enough - Sometimes you want to have a little salsa, but don't want to use a regular bowl or eat it straight from the jar. Sometimes you only want to try a bit of the food you've been slow-cooking for 6 hours to check the taste but a spoon is too small and you don't want to waste a bowl for a bite. Sometimes you need a bowl to hold screws from your PC in while you take it apart. Sometimes you just want to scramble 1 egg for your kids breakfast and need a vessel to do so. Sometimes you need something small to keep premeasured seasonings in for a recipe. And sometimes you only want like 3 bites of icecream. These bowls are perfect for all of that and more. My only warning is you'll think you only need the set of 4, but we use these so much for the oddball stuff that we have 12 and could easily get more.

**Q: Are these 10oz Pyrex bowls clear or do they have a blueish tint to them?**
A: Funny you should ask... I will give you the real scoop after many hassles. I ordered two sets of 4. I got one set of blue and one set of clear. I was wondering what the heck is going on, and the subtly different red labels told the real story. There are "custard" bowls that are bluish and "prep" bowls that are clear. I returned a prep set, got another prep set again. I wanted the bluish, since it looked so good. So I ordered a set of 8, to maybe get the right thing. Nope two 4 sets of prep taped together and yet again "prep" bowls. Now I am just going to brick and mortar it to find more of the bluish ones, since they (hopefully with a label that says "custard"") seem to be readily available. I checked the pyrex site and only "custard" is listed, so I am not sure if the prep is maybe older or something?

**Q: What is the inside diameter at the top and at the bottom?**
A: The top of the custard bowls is 4 inches and the bottom is 2 1/4 inches.  The glass is fairly thick so the actualinside diameter should be adjusted according by maybe by 1/4 inch.

**Q: What is the diameter of these bowls?**
A: 4 7/8 "

**Q: do these have lids?**
A: No, these do not have lids.
