Review: Best Scar Healing Product I've Used - This is coming from a person that's used roll-ons, gel tubes, clear patches, pre-cut strips, etc. For newly-knitted surgical scars, old hypertrophic scars, and some annoying scar blemishes. Out of all of them, this one has been the most effective and efficient at minimizing their appearance and projection. I had two surgeries within 4 months of each other and old scars from different points in my life, and these made my life a lot easier. Following surgeon's instructions rather than what was on the box. They are waterproof in that they will continue to be usable after they get wet, but I did find they slide off in the shower if not held on with medical tape. Not a problem for me to take them off for showers so I could clean and exfoliate anyway. I wear them for ten days before the adhesion starts to go (that is with taking them off for showers and reapplying them). Medical tape keeps them in place easily if you don't want to remove them at all for up to two weeks. But my surgeon did recommend no longer than two week increments before giving the skin a break for a day or two (perfect timing for friction massage to break up the scar tissue adhesions). I have a skin condition that makes me inconsistently allergic to things, and I have sensory issues. This one gave me no real problems, but I was more aware of placement on more sensitive skin like wrists. Does have perforated segments, but can be cut with scissors. I use sharper scissors to make it easier, but regular ones are fine, just make sure to clean them (goo happens).

**Q: Does this product screen the covered area from the sun?**
A: This product does not act as a sunshield/screen and should not be trusted to protect sensitive scarred areas without something else to assist. It was not developed for that use.

**Q: Will it work on old scars and new scars?**
A: Sure, it works on old and new scars

**Q: Can i put makeup over it?**
A: As far as makeup, no I don't think it would cover very long if at all due to the slick surface but the tape is definitely noticable it's thick although I did not use it for this purpose there may be better options for facial use, please keep in mind not to use this on any 'fresh' surgical incisions that you wouldn't want to risk post operative damage from the incision busting open as this happened to my C-section incision after 4 weeks post op (I waited longer than tape directions suggestion of 7-10 days and still regret it) and only two days applying this tape as directed I had to have EMS, open wound care, and two more rounds of antibiotics; please use with care.

**Q: Hello, can this sheets be used on face? I do have little scar on my upper lips and it goes up to the skin, is this safe to use it on lips/face?**
A: I would assume that it can be used on the face (I did not use mine about the face). My scar was tiny, but was on my neck— so I cut my sheets to cover the scar and I only wore it during the time that I slept. I did this for 6 weeks post-op… as suggested by my surgeon.
