At first they were steam baths, then large bathtubs were developed. As all were naked and people co-mingled without regard for age, gender, or rank, the bath house was an egalitarian place. Left to my imagination soap scent would be my guess.** A: It's not really a soap scent. It's a flowery scent but it's not overpowering. Also, it might be because the sticks are smaller but it doesn't seem to be as smoky as some of my other incense.
