And if they do it will be a stop slower and more expensive. F4 vs F5.6 is a big difference when shooting kids soccer games, etc, especially when you don't have bright sunlight. I rented the RF 100-400mm. It was fine, but I find myself more comfortable with this zoom range. If I'm shooting something in the distance, I can still zoom out or step back and take a portrait or group photo without swapping lenses. On the Canon EF/RF adapter is does feel large on my compact R8, but the IS, focus and image quality more than make up for that.
