Removing stains. I had an oil stain on some pants. I washed them with regular detergent about 20 times with no improvement. I tried spot treatment with baking soda, soaps etc nothing worked. I spot treated with borax then out it in the regular wash and the oil stain is 100% gone. Not almost gone but can't tell it was ever there. #2. Kills weeds even poison ivy. I posted some pictures of how this worked on weeds and poison ivy. I just mixed some borax in how water with some soap and then sprayed it on the leaves. It takes about a week to see the results. The pictures I took are about 1.5 to 2 weeks after spraying the poison ivy. #3. Kills bugs. Works really well for this at a fraction of the cost of bug killer. Just mix some in with something sweet. Honey, corn syrup etc and when the bugs eat it, it's over. Also, it works really well for things like carpenter ants because they will take this mixture back to the queen and it will kill the entire colony. #4. Preserves wood. Just recently learned this can be used to treat wood to last longer outdoors.
