**Q: Am this be used for cat scratching post**
A: Personally I wouldn't say it would be hard wearing enough for Cat scratching post.

**Q: Is it water proof**
A: I would say not as it's useful for macrame and not anything water based. It was nearly 2 years ago I bought and used it so I don't still have the ball band. Sorry.

**Q: Is this rope soft or rigid?**
A: This is a soft cord I used it to make a cross body handbag strap.

Seems well made, nice and soft. It's cotton rope so the cut ends will unravel if they aren't bound up. I used waxed cotton thread in a contrasting colour.
