Chance spends most of his time in the wooded areas in a community of 20 chimpanzees. Chimps are very smart and they organize themselves into rigid social hierarchies that are based as much on politics as on the strength of any one monkey. Much of what we know about chimpanzees like Chance comes from the studies of the world's premier primatologist, Jane Goodall!
