These are OEM replacement rear shocks for a 2000 VW Jetta or Beetle, and will ride pretty much like factory on those vehicles. If these fit your vehicle and it isnt a vw, audi, or skoda, the stiffness will be determined by how much your vehicle weighs in relation to the vehicle these were intended to be on. **Q: Will they fit my 2002 jetta gls ?** A: Yes, those worked well on mine. I also purchased the KYB SM5182 - Shock mounts. Save yourself some hassle and install those in while everything is exposed. The original mounts (rear) are known to fail. Unless you see oil seeping around your existing shocks, or have a significant bounce, the mounts may be your problem. You typically can hear a clunking sound in the trunk/hatch when going over a bump in the road. **Q: Does this include the Lower shock mount bolt/nut or any other items or just the shock absorber itself?** A: It just includes the shock absorber. The the other mentioned parts you'll have to buy separately.
