I have had my lights up for about a year and a half. The only thing I've noticed is it can flicker sometimes. If you can solder it you'd be better off. **Q: If I had two rolls of led strips, could I use these connectors to connect the ends of both rolls together?** A: Possibly, but only if your strips are compatible with extensions. They came with no instruction. I ended up cutting off more of the light than I had planned because I kept needing a new fresh edge to work with. in addition when hooked up the property they would connect all the color options. I eventually threw them away and bought a similar product from someone else and they worked great.
