Review: (READ NOTE about product's retirement at review's end.) -- My front porch is covered with natural slate tiles that require a sealer. After installation of the slate tiles about 12 years ago, I used StoneTech's stone & tile cleaner followed by their Heavy Duty Sealer. Both products worked like a dream. The cleaner did a great job of preparing the tiles for the sealer. The sealer applied easily (two coats) with a foam roller (followed by wiping off the excess with a cloth): it absorbed completely and deeply into the tiles. Afterwards, the color of the slate tiles was magnificent. The sealer is durable, lasting about 4 to 5 years without needing a 'maintenance' recoat. This Fall (2025), I bought more stone cleaner and the sealer for another maintenance coat. I am very happy with the result again. NOTICE: The Stonetech Heavy Duty Exterior Sealer is SOLVENT-based, which makes it very durable. Unfortunately, Stonetech discontinued its solvent-based sealer and replaced it with a WATER-based sealer. No water-based sealer holds up as well in exterior applications. Once the current stock of solvent-based sealer is sold out, the Heavy Duty Sealer is gone forever. I bought a gallon to store away for the next maintenance coat.

**Q: Will this product make my limestone front steps slippery ?**
A: I too, was concerned when I applied Stonetech to my slate front porch and steps, but I have been using it there for 8 years and it has never made the steps slippery.

**Q: How is stone tech sealer applied?**
A: I applied it with a paint brush. I imagine you can use a roller or rag, depending on the roughness of the stone and how big it is.

**Q: What is the finish when dry? High gloss, semi-gloss, satin?**
A: Semi gloss but it seals the stone

**Q: Could i use this to reattach a pillow grave stone to its base?**

Works very well as a sealer for the sandstone surrounding our swimming pool. I apply it once a year, and have noticed a significant reduction in the amount of sand appearing in the pool. Easy to install.
