It’s one of those small upgrades that immediately makes the truck feel more refined and nicer to use day to day.Installation was extremely easy and the price is low enough that it’s hard to come up with a reason not to do it if you own a Maverick. Took very little time and worked correctly right away.The only real tradeoff is that you lose one of the tie-down attachment points on the tailgate itself. In practice though, the Maverick already has so many bed attachment and tie-down options that I haven’t missed it at all.One thing I was slightly worried about after installation was whether the tailgate would still support the half-open position for hauling sheet goods like plywood. Thankfully it still works perfectly fine.
