**Q: Can I use with a regular room humidifier instead of the Vick’s one?**
A: It needs to be used with a vaporizer for maximum effect.  The heated mist picks up and carries the vapor.  You can use it with off-brand humidifiers and vaporizers, but the Vicks Vaporizer has a tiny well under the mist output vent for you to pour the vaporizer in to.

**Q: Can this be put right into the water on the warm mist Vicks steamer or does it have to go in the little compartment on top of unit?**
A: It actually states “When adding to your warm mist humidifier place VapoSteam into the medicine cup, not the tank.” I finally figured out that this is why mine was noisy and spitting water during operation. After switching to only putting water and a pinch of salt in the tank, it works perfectly.

**Q: Does this leave a residue in the steamer cup?**

The Vicks VapoSteam Medicated Liquid works wonderfully with my Vicks vaporizer. As soon as it starts producing steam, you can feel the soothing camphor scent helping to open up your airways and calm a cough. It’s especially helpful at night, making it easier to breathe and sleep when dealing with colds or congestion. A little goes a long way, and the 8 oz bottle lasts quite a while. It’s a reliable product that does exactly what it promises — I always keep one on hand during cold season. Highly recommend for both adults and kids’ rooms.
