I wear size 10 shoes and my legs have recently become swollen and feel cold as I am recovering from circulatory problems. These socks keep my feet warm and the swelling is diminishing. After reading reviews i believe perhaps some of the buyers were not handling the fine texture of the fabric with care. I have long fingernails and am careful not to poke holes in the fabric. So far I have been using 2pairs and I slide them up my calf like I would if they were nylons. Using my knuckles works great... No piercing of the fabric, and my leg swelling is way better as well as the cold feet are gone. They feel great from toes to calves too. The sheer fabric is a message that they should be handled with care. Mine get washed by machine just thrown in with everything else that needs washing.I hope this helps everyone who is considering them.
