The higher back makes this pillow fit comfortably on the mid back and you don't notice a change between where the pillow ends and where the seat begins, which was important in choosing the right pillow. I use this in my recliner and it just feels like part of the chair itself. It looks exactly as pictured and is firm enough to give you all the support you need, yet soft enough that it allows you to conform into it.
