That seems to be the downside of this funnel. My screen has come in handy and has filtered out some 'gunk.' But it fits precariously and I've always been afraid I'd lose it. As Wayne said, perhaps you can write the company. I've looked and looked for replacement screens elsewhere on the internet just to have some 'spares.' (I have 3 of these funnels - 1 for diesel, 2 for gas) I have not been able to find anything other than some companies that make such mesh & screen discs, but minimum orders are $100 or more. It'd be great if anyone discovers how to replace these. Regular 'screen' seems to fall apart when cut that small & is not as dense of a filter. Maybe epoxy it?Alternative: buy a nozzle for your source fuel can from EZ-Pour ... they make them (at least some) with strainers built into the nozzle so it is helpful even if you don't have this screen. (obviously the screening is limited to what goes through the nozzle of the source, so it diminishes the funnel's versatility. Since I use mine for fuel only, this is my solution.) **Q: I want to fit a 5 qt oil bottle inside to let fully drain. Does anybody tried to put a 5qt bottle inside and let it rest upside down?** A: make sure you brace the flo giant to keep it in place.
