Having an idea of where its headed helped planning where I was at. Pay attention to part shading in the instructions as they designate things like wax application (wax included) or glue (not included). Wax heavily, glue lightly. Worst part for me was the 12 printed maps of the globe, tedious cosmetically and generally annoying. Overall this was a really cool build, while not simple the end product was worth the process!

Assembly was was more involved than I expected. This is a legit wood puzzle! The support lines left after removing from the parts tree annoyed me so sanding these smooth and blending for color took some time though. Invested about 6hrs over two days to assemble but it was worth it! I see where others say the instructions can be vague, easiest way around this is to read AT LEAST one step ahead of where you are. Having an idea of where its headed helped planning where I was at. Pay attention to part shading in the instructions as they designate things like wax application (wax included) or glue (not included). Wax heavily, glue lightly. Worst part for me was the 12 printed maps of the globe, tedious cosmetically and generally annoying. Overall this was a really cool build, while not simple the end product was worth the process!

It took 3 of us to put this together one afternoon. Very intricate design and pieces. Need to be careful as the wood pieces can break easily. But after completion the globe is very nice, especially with the light.
