**Q: So, the blade is not actually titanium; is it..?  "Carbonitride Titanium Blades" sounds like an intentionally misleading description**
A: Carbonitride Titanium is a trademark name for the patented process, not the blade material description. It refers to an application of a unique formulation of titanium and chromium nitride to the surface of cutting blades that actually penetrates and treats the metal to create a permanent molecular bond with the blade surface which gives it corrosion resistance, adhesive resistance of titanium and the process itself makes the stainless steel 3x harder than untreated stainless. **Q: Is this 100% rust proof? What about if the blade is sharpened?**
A: Definitely not rust proof.  If you immerse this in salt water and leave it, it will rust out.  The VG-10 TiCN PVD blade might do ok, but it's edge, and the entire steel frame and spike will be destroyed after a few days.

The only truly fully rust proof knife I would recommend is the Spyderco Salt series of knives.   There are others, but those are the best and not that expensive.  I have gone scuba diving with those and left them with no rinsing for days or weeks, not a spot of rust anywhere.

**Q: is it made in USA ?**
A: As indicated by the previous responses, the steel is made in Japan and the knife is made in China. It is, however, a very well-made implement.

**Q: how many cm is knife blade length?**
A: About 67mm from tip to edge of body.

I was skeptical at the lower price of the 2.0 version compared to the original. I'm glad I chose the 2.0. This is a very underrated and underpriced knife in my opinion. I use rigging knives/tools for late season and winter camping trips. Most of my tents and hammocks have thinner guylines that prove difficult to untie with bare hands in subzero temps. Marlin spikes help tremendously to loosen tight knots. The most beneficial components of this knife are the locking, straight-edged blade and the bail/bottle opener placement. For camping use a straight edge serves me better for small, camp carving tasks. The blade came sharp out of the box and only took a couple minutes to get it shaving sharp. And it utilizes a liner lock - bonus. The bail/bottle opener placement for carrying in a pocket is amazing. Most bails and lanyard loops stick out and get caught up in my pocket when I attempt to take out the knife. This bail folds up over the end of the knife. The bottle opener design is a little gimmicky, but why not give the bail another use. For my use, this knife is great. It's worth far more than the listed price. I don't know the reason for the low price but I'd happily pay more for these features.
