There are no instructions with it, but you put on a tee shirt and tights under the Kimono. The Kimono has some little ties to hold it closed. Next, there is a belt. The big part of the belt goes in the front and ties in the back. Next, put on the white socks and a pair of flip flops. Put the fan in one hand and you have a beautiful costume ready for pictures. **Q: How do you tie this? The ties don’t seem to be on the same level.** A: On the robe I purchased the right side front flap had a tie that matched up to a second tie at waist level on the left side (inside the robe).
