In my opinion probiotics are the type of product that can be difficult to know if they're actually doing anything. However, after a year of taking them, I can say I have noticed that I'm almost never gassy, and I haven't had any yeast infections. I would typically get a couple of yeast infections a year due to living in a hot climate, but none since taking this product. For these reasons, I continue to take it.

We have had my son on special diets for over 2 years - first the GAPS diet and now we do Paleo and while those have taken care of all his other issues (food allergies/eczema/behavioral issues/learning issues), he sometime seems to get these "flare-ups" that are indicative of a yeast overgrowth. They are few and far between, but everything we have tried diet-wise doesn't seem to help it. However, we started out of curiosity to use these capsules each day with his daily dose of regular Bio-Kult and we haven't seen a single flare-up in over 6 months now. So at least for keeping yeast-overgrowth issues at bay it appears to do the job well.

I’ve been taking Bio-Kult for ten years and whenever I run out of it and stop taking my digestion changes for the worse. It does not contain Maltodextrin!! My advice is to go very slow at first because your body is getting rid of old bacteria in your gut. Take a quarter of a pill for a week then half a pill for a week and if you start to get symptoms that are undesirable, scale back again. You can work your way up to two pills slowly. Some of the die off symptoms experienced when starting are headaches, light red bumps in the form of a rash around the stomach or back area, sleeplessness, change in bowel movements. Stay the course because once you get up to two pills you will notice an increase in energy, acid reflux will resolve itself, better mood overall, and overall health will improve as candida subsides. I have taken Both the regular Bio kult in the orange box and the purple has always been good for me because of my yeast overgrowth tendencies.

I didn't take this for a yeast infection so I cannot say whether it is a good product for that or not. I took this and used it for the last month of my pregnancy to try and ensure I would be negative when tested for group b strep, and I was. I was also negative for my first pregnancy so I cannot say if that was contributed to this probiotic or not. I also wanted to make sure I had healthy vaginal flora for when the baby was born. This is a good price for other candida/vaginal probiotics on the market. I wish it had more strains, as the regular bio kult has 14 and this only has 7. I think this is a great probiotic to take during flu season too because it has the garlic and GSE. My husband and son both got the a bad cold and cough and I never did which I was very happy about because I was so close to giving birth.

Bio cult is my favorite pro biotic but these are not my favorite kind. In general they do not really help with my gut health and when you swallow them they taste like garlic powder. I recommend getting the orange kind instead

It smells on garlic but I really don’t care as long as it works. And it does. It keeps me away from yeast infection. I usually don’t take it every day, just on “critical” days in month; when my immune system is low and then I would take 2-3 pills one day, then 1-2 next day and like that pattern for a week or so. But im subscribed so I always have them.

You do get a little bit of burping up this garlic smelling/tasting but I have had that before with lavender pills as well. I ended up taking it right before bed so I could go to sleep and not taste the garlic! Otherwise product works great, got rid of my BV after taking it for a week so I have more than enough left if it comes back every again.
