I have no doubt when they say it will pick up 60lbs+, they mean it. It starts pulling about 1.5" away from a metal surface. Once you hit that threshold, you can't hardly hold it back. Love it

I bought this as a retrieval magnet for anything that gets dropped in a drain or under a cabinet. This has got to be the strongest magnet I've ever bought. I have no doubt when they say it will pick up 60lbs+, they mean it. It starts pulling about 1.5" away from a metal surface. Once you hit that threshold, you can't hardly hold it back. Love it

I have purchased 3 of these so far and only one has come with the silver plating fully intact.. the other 2 have spots where it is chiped off.
