Review: Works well with acceptable noise level - I found this dehumidifier works well. The noise level is fine. I have it in the basement, so it is not really a factor, but I am not sure I would have it in my bedroom and on when I wanted to sleep. It appears to drain well and I use a hose to drain directly to a drain pipe in the basement so I never have to worry about the container filling up. A perfectly good product and works as required.
Review: Slammed by Helene & Milton Hurricanes & high humidity for 2 weeks. - I added another Star =5 Stars after hurricanes Helene, Milton and then the Central A/C Intake started breaking down and leaking inside our unit. This Dehumidifier really worked and worked constantly, day and night 24/7. You set the humidity level and it will shut itself off when that level is attained. Durning these hurricanes t helped keep the humidity down to an acceptable level and kept everything cool and relitivley dry. With two hurricanes almost back to back, 150 tornados landing in 24 hours all over Florida and torential rain outside for weeks, we were concerned but also felt very blessed and sad for many people and pets who lost their homes. We were very fortiunate to have electric/power to run this Dehumidifierl; and we had some peace of mind to have this Dehumidifier working in the background. It won't stop a hurricane, from blowing off your roof, it will not stop storm surge or rain, but it keeps the humidity inside your home at a more, healthy and comfortable level and it also kept the the central AC (that was breaking down), running dry cold air, until we could replace it a few weeks later. The humidity inside our unit never went over 57% to 63%, and it dropped down to 44% to 51% witin 3-4 days even as it contiued raining, non stop outside. Bottom line: We set the humidity at 50% and just leave it. It protected expensive Guitars and musical instruments that we placed in their cases and Gig bags We had to empty the water every 1.5 to 2.5 hours, but ithat's to be expected when taking so much moisture out of the air in a 1,200 square foot space. It really passed the Test during the toughest of times. Its also very easy to clean and maintain. If you're living in the south east or by an ocean or a lake, it's certainly worth the investment. Past Review : 4 Stars...We reley on this Dehumidifier so we got the maximum extended warranty. It's a necessary investment you should consider for your health, the health of your family and animals in your home; A Dehumididfier is a MUST HAvE for your guitars and all other stringed instuments when you live in more extreme humid climates. We wish we had purchased this Dehumidfier sooner. It can be noisey but even the central AC is louder and drowns it out. You can dispose of the extra moisture or water from the Dehumidifier in the tiolet, utility sink or bath tub. It doesn't smell; and it also takes some strain off of your central AC by adding another dryer function which keeps AC running cool. It works well with central AC and heatin and we have humidity and tempeture gauges in every room. The filter is easy to find. The alarm will light up RED when the water bucket is full or the Filter needs to be cleaned. t has a low beep. The Dehumidifer Filter on this unit can be removed to be cleaned with a small old brush. There are different Dehumifier sizes to accomadate the size of your home or condo unit. We have the Unit for 1500 square feet for a large 2/2. If you have a two story home or Town house you might want to consider getting the larger unit or invest in two Dehumidifiers. The only reason we gave 4 stars is because we alled Customer Support to get a quick run down for setup and we were disappointed in their lack of product knowledge.

**Q: Pump is not working. Water goes into reservoir. Why?**
A: I had the same problem with my model that has the built in pump. I did the following to get it resolved:

1. Clean the drain hose out. I used small brushes and washed it out with high pressure water. 

2. Opened the unit up, removed the small reservoir that the pump is connected to and cleaned it out. It was full of gunk and at the end of the pump intake tube there is a filter that was completely gunked up and the float that triggers the pump. 

3. After all was cleaned I put the unit back together and the pump is working again and the bucket is remaining bone dry.

**Q: Would this work well in the South? Such as Florida?**
A: the principle behind these is: depends on what you are doing. What your AC is set at and IF you even have one! I'd say if you do set this thing FAR AWAY From the thermostat and the recirc vent if you do not it is going to be a tug-of-war between the heat this lets out and the AC trying to cool it down. I have a 990 square foot L frame house. FAR less than the max it is advertised to cover.  It has 8 foot low low ceilings!  We live in Oklahoma City and the weather is abouti 105 Farentheight the humidity 58-60 percent.  ( RE 58 Percent most of the time inside the house and out!)The unit runs constantly even if I DISABLE the "continuous feature! It runs constantly!   I set my AC at 75 degrees Farenehigth and the humidifier I have tried the "confort" setting and find it barely maintains the current level of humidity much less lowers it to 50%-as per the rule book included! 75 F/50% 77+45 ect! Do not expect it to work just because it says "1500 sqf" coverage. That also depends on ceiling hieght(though mine is minimum hieght) and how long it is turned on. 24 hours for a small degree in difference at all.  If you leave it on constantly it will soak the coils causing it not to work at all. turn it off every 2/3 hours and leave it off for an hour. then set the clock over night and empty the bucket promptly and clean coils before you go to bed. It is also dependent on size. I made the mistake of listneing to questions/comments and buying the 22 pint beacuse others stated it "covers 1500sqf easily" no it does not!  Buy the 22 pint for a small room and do not enclose it! If you want your whole house done buy the biggest possible and use the continuous drain!(pump)

**Q: Does this machine automatically reset if power goes out**
A: According to the owner's manual: - Auto-Restart
If the dehumidifier shuts off unexpectedly due to power
being cut, the dehumidifier will restart with the previous
function setting automatically when the power resumes.

I found this dehumidifier works well. The noise level is fine. I have it in the basement, so it is not really a factor, but I am not sure I would have it in my bedroom and on when I wanted to sleep. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works great, low noise, easy to empty, holds a lot

My sewing room was originally a ground-level carport that the previous owners enclosed. The past year due to a couple of hurricanes in the area, the water rose outside and this room partially flooded -- a couple of times. The indoor/outdoor carpeting got soaked and the room has had a rather musty smell since. I didn't think it every dried out fully. After the last flooding issue, I purchased this. I could not be happier with a dehumidifier! It doesn't make much noise at all, really; however, it does put off heat. (It will make a great heater in the winter AND dehumidifer). Set up is really just plugging it in and turning it on. It has several options for setting timers, or humidity levels for shut off, but the best is automatic -- when the water container is full, the unit shuts off. It holds a LOT of water - so much that I can't imagine where it could possibly be coming from, but it does. We have been running it off and on daily for the past couple of weeks, and have had to empty the water container about every 3 days. I had no idea there was that much water in that room. It also has an option to hook up to a hose and bypass the water collection chamber, but I haven't tried that yet -- I'd have to just run it into a bucket or something. The water chamber is really easy to dump -- it just literally pulls out, and even has a nice handle that folds up to make it really easy to carry it to a sink or outside to dump. The water looks really clean too -- it isn't all gross or moldy or anything, so I'm pretty sure it would be safe to dump on plants outside. I wouldn't use it for anything else though. I highly recommend this model!
