**Q: If you connect it to a timer, does it turn on with just the power coming back on?**
A: Don't think this will work because it has a switch that works with the touch of your hand at different levels of light. Hope this helps.

A: No. When you close your eyes it detects it and turns itself off. It will turn itself back on when you open your eyes. Blinking can trip it up.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ What even is "sunset simulation"?

I bought this to help with my circadian rhythm after taking a night shift job. I assumed the "sunset simulation" was a feature where the light would dim as it got close to the timer ending and hoped it might work in reverse too, but no it will just abruptly shut off when the timer ends. I think that's only referring to the temperature options? For some reason it's difficult to find one that will gradually get lighter when it turns on too. It's a bit smaller than I expected, but it works and I appreciate the timer since it's recommended to only use it for like 30 minutes for SAD. It can be very bright and i do like the color options. It remembers your color temperature and brightness setting which is nice. The touch buttons are VERY easy to accidentally press though. I'm also not sure if I'm glad that it came with a regular AC plug instead of a USB. The cord is a good length at least. It's also not too light or flimsy feeling 👍
