There are 8 Table of Contents pages up front, and 184 ruled, numbered pages in the book after the ToC (PAGES, not sheets). Cover is sturdy, binding is also. Doesn't seem like it's likely to fall apart with rough usage. Pages are a soft, cream color. The lines on the pages are well spaced, a light grey color. No perforations for tearing out pages (makes sense since the pages are numbered). Storage flap inside both front and back covers. Elastic band to hold it closed, and one ribbon place marker built in as well. Arrived quickly with Prime shipping. The only thing close to this is the Lechteruum (spelling?) notebooks, but even they have a little bleed and don't write as smoothly as the Clairefontaine paper. Clairfontaine says that its the best paper in the world... I would say that is is among the best. I really like the Mnemosyne for my spiral notebooks, and the Premium notebooks from Staples are good paper as well. Those are not better than this, and none of those have numbered pages, so you can write all your notes, then enter them into your glossary page at the beginning so you can always go back and find them again.
