KOH-I-NOOR HARDTMUTH a.s. is one of the world leaders in the production and distribution of first-rate stationery for artists, schools and offices. The company is a member of the KOH-I-NOOR holding a.s. Group. The company was founded by Josef Hardtmuth in 1790 in Vienna; however, the production of graphite leads was relocated to Česke Budějovice in 1848. In the course of time, the KOH-I-NOOR pencils managed to achieve great success at a number of world exhibitions. Review: Beautiful, colorful pencils that might last a lifetime. - I've had a set of 12 of these for forever and was delighted when I went to replace them because they are available as a set of 48. They are excellent pencils, very saturated and brilliant colors and fun to use, I have no objections regarding the softness or hardness, there's no wood casing so they last forever, and as such are an excellent value. The one thing I haven't been able to ascertain is the lightfastness rating, but in my experience fading of colors hasn't been an issue in the last 40 years that I've had my set of 12 for something like $3. They last a LONG time! Oh, and I've never broken one, but it wouldn't bother me if one did break - the pieces would work just as well as a whole, perfect pencil, maybe better.
Review: Soft rewet easily. - I think these are nice. There soft, rewet really easily. Nice colors. I think they'd be nice just as a color pencil especially sense there so soft. I'd recommend them.

I've had a set of 12 of these for forever and was delighted when I went to replace them because they are available as a set of 48. They are excellent pencils, very saturated and brilliant colors and fun to use, I have no objections regarding the softness or hardness, there's no wood casing so they last forever, and as such are an excellent value. The one thing I haven't been able to ascertain is the lightfastness rating, but in my experience fading of colors hasn't been an issue in the last 40 years that I've had my set of 12 for something like $3. They last a LONG time! Oh, and I've never broken one, but it wouldn't bother me if one did break - the pieces would work just as well as a whole, perfect pencil, maybe better.
