It worked out great and I received a nice compliment for my effort.Although this Morton's salt worked great for the time, I don't believe we will be reordering very soon. I know, salt is salt. Especially unconsumed salt used primarily for melting ice and snow. And it can be obtained quite inexpensively if you connect to the right source. I suppose you could even follow the snow removal vehicles around on a Minnesota winter and obtain salt very cheap. But if you really believe the quality of the salt makes a difference, try some Rive Saline - Fleur de sel.The function of the salt is simple, to rapidly melt the ice that encompasses the container holding the ice cream mixture.
