The more I use it, the easier it is to turn. The only things to get used to are: the heal is a big block - you feel even between the ball and heal, but you need to get used to being further off the floor. The other thing is that when you first put the shoe on, it feels sort of flimsy, but I've had no issue with it feeling that way while I actually dance. The color is fantastic, they’re super lightweight, and they feel nice on. I am on my feet for 11 hours a day, so I’m not sure how they will hold up against my tendinitis in my achilles, but we shall see. I gave 4 stars because I was told by my podiatrist that the most supportive shoes have hard backs that you can’t collapse in your hand, and I can absolutely squeeze the backs of the part that goes against the heel of my foot. I am unsure if the cushioning above the high arch and hard platform compensates for it. (I included a video to demonstrate what I’m describing). For the price, I’d keep them for recreation if they don’t end up being a good work shoe, since I like the way they feel and look. I bought 8.5 in these and they are perfect....slim enough to hug my foot, good heal support, and a generous width for the toes. They look good enough to wear with a skirt!
