This was such a perfect first Lego set for our son! Too bad the lion came with two identical pieces and one missing piece 😬 other than that, five stars!Update: the company reached out to me on its own and offered to send us a replacement lion! Excellent customer service!!!!

The animals are exactly as pictured once I assembled them (hollow legs, Giraffe too large for Lego scale), and I know my son is going to LOVE them, but the plastic they are made from is more brittle than standard Legos. They are sturdy enough that I envision my son getting many hours of play out of them, and for the price, they are a good buy in my opinion--much cheaper than buying genuine Lego animals individually or buying whole sets to get them.

Missing a pandas ear doesn’t do me any good with one ear missing I’ll update my rating if they do anything about it today is 10-04-21

The panda was missing an ear and both feet. I would like to rate the product higher because everything else was good. But, the panda was defective.UPDATE: the company reached out to me immediately and offered to replace the missing pieces within weeks; it only took days. Accidents happen in production, but I am very impressed with their dedication and pride in their product.

Missing multiple parts. Poor Quality. Stay away.

Definitely compatible with Lego, high quality products!Animal figurines come disassembled but in about 10 minutes you can have them ready for play. My kids favorite is the whale because it can fit various smaller animals or lego people in its mouth! 😄Recommended!!P.S. I’ll be honest and say I really only got this set of figures for the whale. I thought that whale was really cool looking, and it can fit a ton of parts inside it’s mouth. The rest of the figures are a mixed bag. The giraffe is decent, but unfortunately clashes stylistically with most standard Lego Animals. I believe it and the Whale are based off of repurposed Lego Duplo molds, but I could be wrong. I feel like the Whale translated way better. The Giraffe might have looked better with additional paint applications on the hoofs, but I can’t say for sure. The Alligator and Shark are pretty solid figures looking close enough to their Lego counterparts. The Gorilla is repurposed from Gorilla Grodd, and lacks Grodd’s characteristic helmet thingy. Otherwise, it literally has the same head print and pretty much the same chest as Grodd. I think it’s kind a lazy. Outside of the whale, gator, and shark, the only other figure I think is decent is the Puma. I think it’s print might have been maybe slightly off kilter, but otherwise it looks fine, and I think it’s detailed enough. All the other animals are wonky in one way or another. From strange printing choices, to lack of paint applications, I feel they leave a lot to be desired. I think the Panda might be an original mold, but it really looks wonky. I think if you don’t mind repainting a bunch of the figures/adding additional details, it’s a fine set of figures, but if you want to play with them right out of the box, they are mediocre at best. I would only recommend this set if you want the whale. I’m probably going to hold onto it along with the other few figures I like, maybe repaint the cows, and donate the rest.

I have some concerns about this toy.Pros- they are adorable animals with some unusual ones thrown in- the whale, for instance. The major branded building toys are compatible with them in the respect that they will build on top of them, or their figures can attach to theseThat is where the similarity ends.My concerns.They come in pieces, each animal individually wrapped, but there are no instructions to assemble and some animals are not that intuitive to put together.Some parts are still attached to the plastic trees while others are not.Some pieces require a lot of pressure or force to fit- a child would not be able to do this.Once together, they do not seem to be designed to take apart and it feels like they would break if you tried to, so don't put a leg in the wrong place!Some parts are very small- The Panda bears ears are SEPERATE parts, and half the size of a pea. They do not fit tightly. Do not give the panda to a child who still puts things in his mouth.Ditto for the cows - their horns are also separate and about about the length of a pea, but narrow. They also do not fit tightly, can drop out, and could be a choking hazard.This toy is obviously aimed at small children in its design. The animals design and color appeal to preschoolers, and toddlers, but the construction issues mentioned, and the badly fitting small parts do not reflect the suitability for this age group.Quality wise, do not expect the same quality as the leading building bricks brand. It is early days, but I can't see these lasting well. The plastic bends, is thin, and feels like it could easily breaklike they might break under the pressure needed to fasten them together- though none did break.The whale in particular felt flimsy- this was not helped by a lack of instructions. Although only 3 parts, rode of assembly is important or attaching the hinged head is very difficult (It should be fitted before top body is connected to bottom of the body). This is something that would be solved with a simple step by step picture.Lastly this item does not come in a branded box. It is a collection of cellophane wrapped pieces in an unmarked box. It screams 'knock off' and also adds to my doubts about safety.I will be only allowing my grandson to play with this under supervision, until I can assess if the toy will hold together properly and that the small parts will not dislodge. Sadly, I can't recommend this item until some of the issues are addressed by the manufacturer.
