They use some kind of liquid inc, which bleeds through even 32lb semigloss paper. I promptly threw them away. The pens are a little chubby and are comparable to regular fountain and gel pen lengths. It is not suitable. **Q: Will these write on transparent sticky notes?** A: Don’t know but I would not purchase. These are more like .8 or 1.0 wide.
